The HERO Think Tank Presents the

HERO Forum for Employee Health Management Solutions
and
The C. Everett Koop National Health Awards

InterContinental – New Orleans
September 23-25, 2008
Tuesday, September 23 – 8:00am to 5:00pm
Wednesday, September 24 – 8:00am to 5:00 pm
Thursday, September 25 – 8:00am to 12:30 pm

Registration will be closed on or before
September 5, 2008

Why is the Forum so meaningful and successful? The Forum is different. All events are highly interactive, with the time shared between the facilitators and you, the participants. The employee health management (EHM) experts do not lecture on “what you should do”, but instead they use an interactive approach to help you learn “how to do it”. During the discussions, the participants have time to share their experiences, reaction, critique, questions, and answers. Another thing that makes the Forum different is that you are a participant in the highly respected and coveted C. Everett Koop National Health Awards ceremony. Dr Koop is a national icon, whom you can meet. Following are the Forum core events.

Exciting and much needed, new benchmarking and best research that compares best practice with common practice programs is in progress and will be published before the Forum. The authors will be present and present their research findings. In addition, there will be an up-date of the HERO Scorecard. From an interactive perspective participants who are associated with an EHM program will be invited to input their program information into the online Scorecard. This could provide an aggregate report which will be analyzed and discussed.

Ask the Experts
EHM Future Trends

Many of the national EHM corporate and provider  experts will be at the Forum. This is a general session where a cross section of the experts will answer your personal questions and provide individual EHM advice and council. There will also be peer to peer interaction. You may present your questions in advance, and ask impromptu questions. This is an extraordinary opportunity to interact with the experts relative to your personal EHM needs.

The HERO Association for Employee Health Management (AEHM)
Public Invitation to Comment

As the employee health management (EHM) industry expands in acceptance and accountability, the need for a well-organized, member driven, and benefits rich professional association becomes increasingly acute. This need has been addressed by the creation of the HERO Association for Employee Health Management (AEHM). For well over two years, HERO has devoted considerable time and efforts to the development of the AEHM. As part of this process, HERO extends a Public Invitation to Comment. From July 21st to August 15th, you are invited to provide critique, thoughts, and recommendations for the AEHM. For more background and information, click on the HERO AEHM link. To share your input, click on the AEHM Comments link.

The HERO Employee Health Management Best Practice Scorecard (Scorecard)

The identification of employee health management benchmarks and the determination of best practice is becoming increasingly important. At the 2006 Forum, Version One of the HERO Employee Health management Best Practice Scorecard (Scorecard) was released. The Scorecard is a self-administered instrument that allows you to establish employee health management benchmarks and determine best practice for your program. One year later, Version Two was made available. A PDF version of the Scorecard Version Two can be downloaded and printed by clicking on the Scorecard link. In addition to the PDF version, you are also provided with an Online Evaluation Scorecard which is intended for research and evaluation purposes. You can provide your program information and receive an aggregate report. Instructions for using the Online Scorecard are provided.
